10W30 Oil Comparison

Please see our comparison of other grades of synthetic and non synthetic oils below

Note: Score corresponds to the number of columns “won” by a particular oil. The more columns won the higher the score. So if 2 columns are won, than the score will be 2, if 1 column is won the score will be 1, so on and so forth. Winners are based on the highest amount of columns won thereby in my mind showing the best value.

Synthetic Winners:

Amsoil Signature Series oil

Non Synthetic Winners:

Castrol GTX
* Note, I feel like Castrol won this category because they seem to be the only guys producing a fire point spec- I think Mobil 1000 and 2000 have a pretty comparable product here.

  1. VI polymers provide zero lubrication so the less the better if you want then best lubrication.
That’s why straight weight oils have always been the gold standard in racing and high shear applications
The Penzoil conventional has the least which means it has more actual oil.
For this reason it’s always better to use 10w-30 if the climate allows.
